어제 오늘 자꾸 귀를 맴돌고, 입에서 나도 모르게 내뱉게 되는 Damn!
정말 좋아하는 음악 중 하나인 이 곡을 자연스럽게 repeat1으로 오가며 듣고 있다.

촌스럽고 지겨운 표현으로 시작하자면,
만물 소생의 춘삼월이 꽃샘추위와 함께 시작된지 벌써 몇 일.
나의 하루는 참으로 더딘데, 벌써 6일 7일이라니... 시간 참 빠르기도 하다.
그리고 생뚱맞게 왜 갑자기 이 멜로디가 머릿 속에 맴도는지 모르겠다.

음악이란게 그래서 좋은 거 같다.

삶은 늘 지지부진하게 평범하고 변화없는 지루한 일상일지언정,
다채로운 음악들이 나를 또다른 상상의 세계로 자주 이끌어준다.
이제와서 지금부터 새로운 음악을 듣는 것보다,
과거에 즐겨들었던 음악들을 한번씩 하루씩 이틀씩
온종일 repeat1으로 돌려듣다보면
날이 갈수록 허한 마음, 비어있는 시간들이 충분히 메꿔지고도 남을 것 같다.

 

일상 생활에서 뜬금없이 제길! Damn it! 이라고 외친다면
서로 얼굴 붉히고 다툼이 일 수도 있겠지만...
음악으로 노래로 외치는데, 누가 뭐라 할까.
이 직설적인 제목과 가사, 그리고 후렴구로 갈수록 질러대는 멋진 멜로디라인 덕분에

발표 당시에도 많은 사랑을 받은 듯 하다.ㅎㅎ

특히, Damn! 댐! 하며 계속 내지르는 후렴구는 어찌나 시원시원하고 후련한지.

이 익숙한 앨범 커버의 CD는 내 방 구석 한 켠 어딘가에 잘 있다.

사실 빨간 (아마도 손글씨로?) 노래 제목을 휘갈겨 쓴

싱글 커버가 참 맘에 들고 완전 내 스타일의 커버인데,

언젠가 어디선가 발견되면 뒤늦게 소장용으로 살 지도 모르겠다.

이 곡은 오디오로만 항상 들어오다가
이렇게 티스토리에 끄적이며 공식 뮤직비디오를 난생 처음 찾아봤는데,
워낙에 신나게 불러대니 웬지 기분이 Up!되는 거 같다.
